We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious researcher to join our team with expertise in cutting edge single cell genomics technology. The post will be based within the Institute of Cellular Medicine and Arthritis Research UK Centre of Excellence in Rheumatoid Arthritis Pathogenesis (RACE): http://www.race-gbn.org/. The objectives of RACE are to apply cutting edge molecular and bioinformatics techniques to clinical specimens from patients with rheumatoid arthritis to better understand the factors that determine pathogenesis, as well as response to therapy.

You will hold a PhD in the biological sciences (or be close to submission of a PhD) and have a high quality research background, with a strong publication record. You should have an excellent grasp of single cell sequencing. Whilst the focus of RACE is on the human condition, candidates with an international track record in relevant non-clinical research may also apply.

The post is available fixed term until March 2019. For further information or an informal discussion please contact Professor John Isaacs (john.isaacs@ncl.ac.uk).

The School holds a silver Athena SWAN award in addition to the University’s Silver Athena SWAN award in recognition of our good employment practices for the advancement of gender equality, and the University holds the HR Excellence in Research award for our work to support the career development of our researchers.  We are also a member of the Euraxess network.
