Job Description:
We are looking for a talented senior bioinformatician to join our Bioinformatics Team, within the Biomarker Discovery Department of Enterome Bioscience. Enterome is a Paris-based private company with advanced technology and products in the emerging field of disease management of the human gut microbiome. The company is developing biomarkers and innovative therapeutic solutions in IBD and Oncology. The position will be based at the Enterome Headquarters in Paris, France and the senior bioinformatician will report directly to the head of the bioinformatics team. Mission: Identify the bioinformatics analysis needs within the different projects and programs (IBD, Oncology, Metabolic diseases). Develop the bioinformatics analysis strategy in close collaboration with the other departments of the company. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the bioinformatics pipelines applied to metagenomics data analysis. Work in compliance with the Quality Management System in place (ISO13485), writing reports and documentation accordingly. Regularly evaluate the new bioinformatics tools and methods published. Experience and expertise: PhD in Bioinformatics or equivalent experience. Ideally between 5 and 8 years of experience in bioinformatics and/or biological data analysis. Deep knowledge and experience with high throughput sequencing data analysis. Experience with in depth analysis of genomics, proteomics and functional data . An experience with the analysis of metagenomics sequencing data and previous knowledge in bacterial genome annotation will be a real plus. Fluency with Python. Good knowledge and experience using UNIX/LINUX environments and distributed computational systems. Good English level, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French language will be a plus. Personal skills: Proactivity and reactivity to answer the needs of the different company programs and projects with ad hoc bioinformatics analysis. Natural sense of organization, team work, as well as sharing know-how and expertise in a multidisciplinary environment. Flexibility to work in a young and dynamic company.
