One of research projects focuses on molecular dynamic simulations in the proteins involved in lipolysis. One focuses on somatic mutations on protein binding surfaces and protein-protein interfaces. Others focus on ER stress-induced proteins that cause symptoms of fatty livers. The successful applicants will develop research projects while having the good opportunity to engage in collaborations with both computational and experimental biologists. Qualifications: Applicants for the positions must have a MD/ PhD degree or equivalent in one of the following fields: Computational Biology, Physics, Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, Computer Science, Biochemistry or in a related field. He or she must have a strong background in quantitative science, and proficient programming skills in C/C++, Shell scripts or Fortran. Detailed knowledge of biological macro-molecules is a plus.
