Job Description:
J2 Solutions is seeking an experienced genetics bioinformatics/biostatistics specialist to join one of our growing clients. We are looking for a talented, team-oriented, and motivated individual to join this great client. This position will be participating in and contributing to the success of an innovative molecular information company, whose focus is on discovering novel epigenetic biomarkers from next generation sequencing data and translating them into a range of new clinically valuable assays, new drug targets, new diagnostics, patient stratification tools, etc. This specialist would report directly to and be directly mentored by Co-Founder/Chief Science Officer who is a pioneer in this field. Core Responsibilities Include: -Active participation in both operational projects where candidate would be expected to independently plan and execute all aspects of the company’s EpiMarker Discovery platform on patient cohort data provided by NGS partners including set-up, processing, and report production. -Working closely with CSO on new pipeline developments and/or custom client requirements. -Interfacing with clients to ensure they understand their data and are making the best decisions. -Interacting with members of company management and sales team to assist with the development of new customers. Qualifications: -MS or PhD in molecular genetics, computational biology or a closely related area. -Demonstrated proficiency in R, Python, and working with in an AWS environment. -Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of team with mature judgement to do what's right beyond the specification of the job.
