Job Description:
Applications are invited for a funded postdoctoral position available immediately in the research group of Prof. Sebastian Pechmann, Canada Research Chair in Computational Systems Biology, at the Université de Montréal in Montréal, Canada. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented computational biologist to contribute to our exciting research towards an integrated systems level understanding of protein homeostasis.

Possible research projects include the development of novel computational approaches to reconstruct and analyze biological networks, to integrate heterogeneous data across scales, and to derive from genomic data mechanistic insight into regulatory mechanisms that maintain proteome integrity. More information about our research and recent publications can be found under pechmannlab.org. All projects are highly interdisciplinary, carried out in close interaction with experimentalists, and offer ample opportunity for growth and career development.

The ideal candidate will have or about to be awarded a PhD in computational biology or related quantitative field including genomics, systems biology, computer science and engineering. Strong programming skills are essential, as is the demonstrated ability to conduct original research, evident through at least one peer-reviewed publication as leading author.
