Job Description:

Position Purpose:

Provides expertise in statistical methodologies tailored to R&D Solutions analytics needs, and project management support to develop and apply innovative methodologies and deliver custom studies.

Principal Accountabilities:

The Manager, Advanced Analytics (Patient Analytics) provides statistical methodology and project management support for designing and executing innovative R&D Solutions analytics – including standard and custom studies. Specific accountabilities include:

-Collaborates extensively with R&D Solutions business owners, subject matter experts, and go to market teams to leveraging QuintilesIMS data assets to support R&D Solutions, including supporting the sales process, trial design and execution, and new capability development.

-Provides expertise in statistical methodologies tailored to R&D Solutions analytics needs, and project management support to develop and apply innovative methodologies and deliver custom studies. Works on projects where independent judgment is used within generally defined procedures and practices.

-Applies appropriate methodology when implementing studies, including: defining statistical design and methodology to meet specific study needs; identifying appropriate data sources; translating study methodology into specifications for programmers; conducting statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the studies, and identifying new opportunities to create standard reports and value-added analytics.

-Partners with the Solutions Management team to design methodology to address business questions; drives project execution, streamlining process and building efficiencies.

-Performs quantitative research and provides written summaries of study results. Partners with Solutions Manager to interpret results and deliver within the context of a global trial plan and market-specific operations strategy.

-Supports development of new applications and methodologies to address R&D Solutions analytic needs.

-Offers mentorship and coaching in a quickly growing team to ensure knowledge sharing and to elevate ACOE capabilities in the delivery of differentiating solutions for QuintilesIMS project teams.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

-Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Economics/Econometrics, or related field with relevant quantitative analysis experience analyzing big data; minimum of 4 years with a Bachelors or 2 years with a Masters.

-Understand patient data assets’ strengths, caveats and appropriate use of each type of patient data, including hands on experience and longitudinal patient data analysis.

-Multivariate analysis, regression analysis and forecasting, sampling, and knowledge of SAS programming languages in both PC and mainframe environment.

-Moderate PL/SQL skills.

-Understand basics of patient care, insurance claims data, medical claims data and pharmacy claims data and have basic knowledge of ICD 9/10, HCPCS J code and NDC codes (Ex-US use ICD 9/10 and ATC codes).
