Job Description:
The College of Engineering (CoE) at the University of Missouri (MU) is hiring multiple faculty members in the area of Computational/Systems Biology and Bio Big Data. These tenure-track/tenured positions are at all ranks specializing in computational biology, systems modeling, or informatics, with applications for large scale biological datasets. We are particularly interested in individuals incorporating quantitative approaches in their research to address fundamental questions at the interface of engineering and the life sciences. The successful candidate will establish a research program that complements our existing strengths, develops cross-disciplinary collaborations, and attracts federal funding. These new hires will have the potential to hold interdisciplinary joint positions with the other colleges/schools at the University of Missouri, starting Fall 2017.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. either in Engineering, Computer/Data Science, or a quantitative field in the Life Sciences; demonstrated success in interdisciplinary research; and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
