Job Description:
This person will be working in Velocigene in the Molecular & Transgenic Biology Department in Tarrytown, NY. The student will join the design team’s bioinformatics effort to provide high-throughput analysis pipeline of targeted next generation sequencing (NGS) and automation of functional mouse model designing. The goals are to improve the existing pipeline by comparing various tools, and to work on research projects to validate them. By interacting with biologists, bioinformatics scientist and information technology (IT) people at Regeneron, the student will have opportunities to improve both bioinformatics and software development skills. Start building your skills at Regeneron. • Must be pursuing a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biolgy, Computer Science • Skills in programming • UCSC genome browser, Ensembl browser experience helpful Intern Program Requirements: • Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD • Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community • Minimum GPA of 3.0
