Job Description:
-Maintain and organize inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies. -Track, order, and receive lab reagents and disposables such as chemicals, enzymes, buffers, pipette tips, reagent tubes, etc. -Clean and organize common areas in the laboratory, including benches, refrigerators, and freezers. -Handle EH&S (e.g. lab safety training, hazardous waste disposal) and Facilities (e.g. equipment move) related tasks. -Help with equipment calibration and maintenance for common laboratory equipment and company manufactured equipment. -Coordinate equipment repair and calibration. Keep records of equipment calibration and maintenance. -Perform other duties as assigned. -Maintaining reagents. -Purchasing, including new vendors. -Equipment maintenance. -Participation in the execution of experiments. -Lab safety. -Lab organization. Requirements: -Requires introductory college chemistry AND biology. -Bachelor's degree (completed or expected) in biology-related fields, including but not limited to Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Cell Biology, Genomics, Genetics, or Chemistry. -Experience working in a molecular biology lab and using standard equipment (centrifuge, agarose gel station, PCR machines, etc.). -Good time management and Microsoft Excel skills required. -Solid communication skills. -Organized, goal-motivated, and detail-oriented. Required experience: -Lab: 2 years -Maintaining reagents: 1 year
