The New Jersey Center for Science, Technology and Mathematics at Kean University is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor rank to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the core programs of the center, particularly Computational Biology and Mathematics and in areas related to his/her expertise. Candidate will be expected to significantly contribute to the research, teaching and service in the integrated STEM program; to establish an active research program; seek extramural funding; mentor undergraduate and graduate students; and actively participate in strengthening and expanding connections with the Institute for Life Science Entrepreneurship (www.ilsebio.com). Qualifications : Ph.D. or MD degree in Mathematics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or related field required. Candidates in all areas of mathematical biology, computational biology and bioinformatics will be considered. Candidates with a demonstrated record of developing and/or applying mathematical or computational approaches to study biological questions in areas including mathematical modeling, big-data analytics, genomics, evolutionary genomics, cell and molecular biology, systems biology, microbiology and epidemiology are especially encouraged to apply.
