Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, L.L.C. is seeking a skilled and experienced Bioinformatician. The position is available immediately, to MS or PhD graduates in Bioinformatics who have further extended their skills through 1 - 3 years workplace experience after their most recent graduation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working and scripting in R on large complex datasets and be able to work on parallel projects related to diagnosis, prognosis and understanding of patient clinical responses. The candidate will join the Institute of Biomarker Research, and become part of a multidisciplinary team that is bringing better genetic diagnoses to the management of human disease. Requirements THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION: The key task-lines of the projects include: -Data Mining - Identifying relevant data from existing public repositories. -Meta-analysis - Create and prosecute meta-analysis pipelines using R and BioConductor packages. -Survival analysis - Predicting outcome by defining signature gene expression patterns. -Big Data Analysis - Gene Selection using appropriate statistical approaches from complex microarray datasets across multiple platforms. THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE APPLICANT: The successful applicant will have: -MS or PhD degree in Bioinformatics. -1-3 years workplace (after your last graduation) experience, directly related to the tasks outlined above. -The ability to write dedicated scripts in R as required, and preferably. -Expertise in PERL and/or Python, and algorithm development.
