Job Description:
As a member of the Computational Biology development team, you will be responsible for developing automated test suites and conducting hands-on testing of GUIs. You’ll work on the release qualification for the Computational Biology toolboxes. You will participate in projects from their early design stages and play a critical role in driving them to final product release. Here is a link to our product area: http://www.mathworks.com/solutions/computational-biology/ Responsibilities: -Participate in feature design and code reviews -Develop test plans and test procedures based on functional and design specifications -Design, maintain and execute automated and interactive test suites for Bioinformatics Toolbox -Find, report, and qualify product bugs using an in-house bug tracking system Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required. Additional Qualifications: -Programming experience in MATLAB or other scientific programming languages. -Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) such as Java, C++. -Experience working with large data such as Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). -Experience with data analysis, focusing in statistics. -Ability to triage issues and work independently in a fast-paced environment. -Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. -Capacity to multi-task several testing activities concurrently
