Job Description:
One postdoctoral position is available immediately in the lab of Dr. Peter Yang, http://yanglab.stanford.edu at Stanford University School of Medicine. This position focuses on studying rapid bone regeneration in a non-model organism using RNA-seq, and developing novel pipelines and computational approaches for identifying genes. The ability to develop, evaluate and implement new techniques as well as perform gene cloning, overexpression and silencing studies will be critical. The successful candidate is required to be very familiar with bone biology. Some experience with next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, Linux and R-studio will be preferable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as scientific knowledge in bone biology and computational analysis of RNA-seq data is required for the partnership with collaborators. Scientific curiosity and independence are highly encouraged in our lab. We are seeking candidates who share the same passion as we do and are willing to dedicate their time for research.
