Senior Research Associate

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £42,304 – £49,904 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
We seek to appoint an experienced Senior Research Associate in Bioinformatics to the EC Horizon 2020 FORECEE programme.
This exciting project comprises 13 European partners and the research aims to make individualised risk predictions for women specific cancers available by looking at DNA methylation risk markers in a number of easily accessible tissues from the same women, including cervical, blood and buccal tissue.
The successful candidate will be supervised jointly by Professor Martin Widschwendter and Dr Andrew Teschendorff and be central to the processing, management and bioinformatics analysis of the large omic data sets generated as part of the project.
The appointment is available immediately and is funded for three years in the first instance.
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or a relevant area. Experience in high performance computing and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
