Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Database Developer (m/f) 2017/0003 Job description Re-engineering of INFRAFRONTIER's production-level mutant mouse strain database (EMMA database, MySQL) Migration of database content to new schema Implementation of audit trail Development of database health checks Re-engineering of public search interface using Solr indexing Ensuring database security, performance and service availability Further developing other components of the INFRAFRONTIER informatics infrastructure together with other members of the team The position will involve programming and interfacing with the on-site data processing service centre and with international collaborators in the INFRAFRONTIER Research Infrastructure

Your Qualifications:

-Master's Or Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science

-Bioinformatics or a related discipline and at least three years of work experience.

-Firm knowledge of database development and database server management Hands-on Linux (ideally Ubuntu) and virtual machine experience.

-Basic knowledge of Java web technologies (Spring, Hibernate, Advanced, Java2EE, Solr) Jenkins continuous integration desirable Experience with Ontologies, Semantic Web and mouse biology/informatics resources for data integration is a plus Structured working style and ability to solve problems creatively and effectively Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development process.
