Job Description:
Seeking an outstanding individual to join a vibrant interdisciplinary group of scientists and engineers to develop and facilitate interpretation of single cell analyses comprised of multiplex PCR, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq and expression profiling of various tumor models. This opening starts as a 6-month contractor position with an option to extend. * Adapt or develop analytical algorithms to facilitate interpretation of genomics assays * Modify and/or develop new next-generation sequencing pipelines * Execute data analysis pipelines on AWS and to a lesser extent, on-premises * Interact with internal scientists and collaborators to ensure scientific relevance of data analysis and interpretation. Knowledge/skills/abilities: * Understanding and hand-on experience in biostatistics and bioinformatic algorithms. Working knowledge of multivariate statistical analysis methods, classification methods, regression models etc * Proficiency in shell scripting. Experience with R, Python, and Perl considered a plus. * Experience with PCR and NGS technologies and sequence analysis tools; e.g. aligners and differential expression analysis methods * Good understanding of biochemistry, genetics and epi-genetics. * Highly self-motivated and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Outstanding oral and written communication skills. * Excellent organizational and documentation skills, thorough and detail-orientated.
