Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Associate will perform research in Biomedical Informatics, working on either Knowledge Representation and NLP methods OR Bioinformatics OR Biomedical Ontology OR Public Health Informatics. This is a NIH, NLM T15 sponsored fellowship. Duties will include performing Informatics research, presenting research findings to faculty, graduate students and at scientific meetings; preparing results for publication, assisting in preparation of proposals for grant funding, attending seminars, meetings and conferences, and assisting with the teaching and training of graduate students. Minimum Qualifications: As per NIH, NLM T15 sponsored fellowship requirements, appointees must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident. Must be highly trained in computational and information science methods and 1 or more biomedical application domains. Must have a MD or PhD in Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics or Computational Biology. Must have a strong interest in NLP, in Knowledge Representation OR Bioinformatics OR Biomedical Ontology OR Public Health Informatics and in an academic research career in Biomedical Informatics. Salary Range: $40,000 - $59,000
