Antibody Engineering Computational Scientist, gRED

Description:
The successful candidate will join Antibody Engineering, a department with a strong track record of success in pioneering novel antibody therapeutics to treat the most serious unmet clinical needs.
This hire will help advance innovative computational and bioinformatics approaches to antibody discovery and engineering, with a particular emphasis on expanding our capabilities in Next Generation Sequencing. Specifically, this candidate will help manage bioinformatics and software needs and implement algorithms and develop data analysis pipelines. He/she will organize and integrate data and results to enable sharing and visualization. This individual will have a joint appointment with the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Department, work collaboratively with other cross-functional research groups, and be expected to publish his or her work in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements
Qualifications:
A PhD or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational biology, immunology or a related field is required. A passion for innovation, solving technical problems and applying new technologies to further scientific goals and demonstrated success combining computational and wet lab research, applying computational and/or statistical approaches to address biological problems, via comprehensive analysis of large, multi-dimensional datasets is required. Expertise in R and in one or more of the scripting languages such as Python or Perl also required. Preferred skills and experience for this position include extensive knowledge of antibody sequence and structure, expertise in NGS data analysis. Experience in mathematical modeling and implementation of machine learning algorithms and Post-doctoral training are also preferred.
