Job Description:
The Department of Computer Science seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position starting Fall, 2018. We seek research expertise in health-related computing, such as Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Health Informatics. NDSU offers Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Research and teaching excellence are expected. Normal teaching loads are three courses per year. Salary is competitive. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, or a closely related field. Experience or other evidence of potential for excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and service. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience or other evidence of potential to conduct research in ecosystems, sustainability or health applied to rural populations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or other evidence of potential for excellence in research in Health Informatics, Computational Biology or related areas.
