Job Description:
The School of Interdisciplinary Informatics, housed in the College of Information Science & Technology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the field of Biomedical Informatics. The Bioinformatics (undergraduate) and Biomedical Informatics (graduate) programs offer comprehensive degrees that equip students with the skillset needed to make substantial contributions to Precision Medicine and to the study of biological systems. Applicants with expertise in Healthcare Informatics and Public Health Informatics will be given preference. The person hired will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in this area. This person will conduct research in Biomedical Informatics or related fields to be published in appropriate journals and serve on committees as needed. The person hired will have the opportunity to participate in collaborative research projects and will have access to funding opportunities provided by the Nebraska Research Initiative and other state-wide funding initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Required qualifications include a completed doctoral degree in Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Evidence of excellence in teaching and an established record of research accomplishments are also required.
