Applications are invited for a Tenure-Track faculty position in the College of Health Professions and Biomedical Sciences as part of the University of Montana’s NIH-funded Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics (CBSD) http://www.cas.umt.edu/departments/cbsd/. The position is being offered at the Assistant Professor level within the Department of Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Skaggs School of Pharmacy, which also houses Centers in Structural & Functional Neuroscience (CSFN) http://csfn.health.umt.edu and Environmental Health Sciences (CEHS) https://cehsweb.health.umt.edu).
We seek a productive and innovative scientist who will develop a creative research program that embraces the biophysical and structural approaches of the CBSD, as well as aligns with Departmental research strengths that include, but are not limited to: molecular pharmacology, neuroscience, pharmacokinetics, toxicology and disease mechanisms. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, extramurally funded research program that includes mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates should also exhibit a strong commitment to contributing to the curricular mission of the School and Department that encompasses a wide range of biomedical disciplines, including physiology, pharmacology, toxicology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and neuroscience. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have a demonstrated record of graduate and postdoctoral research excellence. A competitive startup package will be provided.
