The Department of Biology at Presbyterian College announces a tenure-track position in biology with interests and experience in applied bioinformatics and/or computational biology. We seek a colleague who has expertise in analysis of big data, modeling, bioinformatics, genomics/transcriptomics, biostatistics, or other quantitative and/or computational methods. Excellence in teaching is highly valued at Presbyterian College. We expect the individual in this position to teach undergraduate courses in the areas of applied bioinformatics and to work with faculty to incorporate applied bioinformatics and computational biology into new and existing courses within the curriculum. The individual will develop an active research program in their areas of bioinformatics and computational biology that incorporates undergraduate research opportunities and complements existing research efforts in the Department of Biology. - Postdoctoral experience desired.
