Job Description:
The Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a Quantitative Molecular Biologist at the Assistant Professor level starting in the fall of 2016. Research interests could include structural biology and biophysics, bioinformatics, synthetic biology, systems and computational biology, and quantitative biochemistry or cell biology.

The department of Molecular Biology is a research-intensive academic unit with broad expertise including biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, biotechnology, and genomics (http://www.uwyo.edu/molecbio/). Molecular Biology faculty participate in interdisciplinary and departmental graduate programs (http://www.uwyo.edu/molecbio/degree-programs/). Once hired, the candidate is expected to develop a productive extramurally funded research program and to participate in teaching in the core Molecular Biology curriculum.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology or a field relevant to the position, at least two years of postdoctoral experience, and evidence of excellent research productivity and written communication skills. The successful applicant must also have a research program that uses in vitro or in vivo methods for studying biology at the molecular level in addition to computational approaches.
