Job Description:
The Biostatistics Program in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology seeks a tenure track faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with demonstrated excellence in research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. We welcome applicants with expertise in all areas of biostatistics including global health, clinical trials, medical informatics, neuro imaging, bioinformatics and geonomics.
The successful candidate will join the faculty in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Responsibilities will include research; teaching; advising masters and doctoral students enrolled in our MS, MPH, and PhD programs. Applicants should have a strong commitment to developing research collaborations both within and outside the school and to teaching and advising undergraduate/graduate students. Preference will be given to candidates possessing excellent potential for securing federal research funding. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Requirements:
Candidates for this position must meet the following minimum requirements:
Terminal degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD) in biostatistics or related field of study; Evidence of experience as principal investigator of independent and collaborative research or evidence of independent and collaborative research potential; Strong record/promise of peer-reviewed publication; Excellent oral and written communication skills; and Demonstrated interest and ability in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
