Job Description:
Associate Biostatistician Full-time Overview: The Translational Science and Biomarker group at Sanofi Pasteur is seeking an Associate Biostatistician for the VaxDesign campus in Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate will rely on their biostatistics training to support the analytical needs of multiple research programs designed to evaluate viral and bacterial vaccines and other therapeutics. This person will be expected to have a background in statistics with some programming experience that they will use to support the development of statistical packages to aid standard and integrative analytics, develop predictive models, and tackle technical challenges with new and creative thinking. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their ability to be a pace-setting biostatistician, both internally and externally, to the company. They will also be expected to interface with researcher and biostatisticians located at various global sites within the organization. General Duties: Demonstrate critical analysis of data and provide interpretation of results, risk/issue guidance, and general statistical support to the various project teams. Prepare work for formal presentations and reports. Work towards completing assigned tasks on time, as defined by project leaders. Work with management to develop and implement various analytical programs/guidelines to support campus projects. Demonstrate independence and a strong spirit of cross-functional cooperation towards achieving the objectives of projects. Knowledge and Skill Required: M.S. in bioinformatics or related field Experience with software tools, such as SAS, JMP, Spotfire, and Tableau, for large-scale data analysis and visualization Some experience in writing scripts for bioinformatics data analysis (R, Python, Perl, Matlab, or similar) and relational databases (SQL) Prior experience with analyzing biological and clinical data is preferred
