Associate Research Scientist

Job Description:
Associate Research Scientist w/ NYU (NY, NY). Responsible for conducting computational biology research and supporting bioinformatics software and data analysis tools. Requires Master’s degree in Comp Sci, Bioinformatics, or Comp Biology. Requires 1 yr of prior exp in a bioinformatics or computational biology position. Prior exp must include: Developing, maintaining, and supporting bioinformatics software packages and data analysis tools; Implementing and supporting software systems for academic research; Developing tools to manipulate, visualize, and analyze biological data; Designing and implementing software libraries and APIs to facilitate implementation of algorithms and statistical analysis; and Utilizing C/C++, Python, Java, JSON, mongoDB, SQL and the Linux Operating System.
