Job Description:
Dr. Wendy Chung's Lab at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated associate research scientist with strong expertise in bioinformatics. The Chung lab studies human monogenic and complex diseases and clinical implementation of genomic medicine, two critical components of precision medicine. The candidate will apply state-of-the-art methods to analyze large-scale genome and exome sequence data, interpret genetic variants, and identify novel human disease genes. The candidate will have access to growing large sets of data from a broad range of diseases, including breast cancer, autism, and birth defects. The candidate will benefit from a multidisciplinary environment, with close collaborations with experts in systems biology, biomedical informatics, clinical genetics, genetic counseling, and precision medicine.

Minimum Degree Required:
Ph.D. or M.D. or equivalent
Minimum Qualifications:
All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position.
Minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience is required.
