Job Description:
The focus of this position will be to develop high quality, robust and efficient bioinformatics workflows for analyzing amplicon and vector sequencing data for the characterization of CRISPR-engineered mouse and cell line models and gene therapy vectors (e.g., AAV). The focus of this position will be to develop high quality, robust and efficient bioinformatics workflows for analyzing amplicon and vector sequencing data for the characterization of CRISPR-engineered mouse and cell line models and gene therapy vectors (e.g., AAV). In addition, the successful candidate will work directly with biologists and next generation sequencing lab scientists to analyze DNA-Seq and RNA-Seq data sets for discovery of novel targets, biomarkers, and compound mechanism of action. Specific duties include: • Design amplicon DNA sequencing bioinformatics workflows in Python and collaborate with Biogen scientists to apply these pipelines to CRISPR mutagenesis studies. • Collaborate with Biogen scientists to analyze RNA-Seq data sets. • Produce well written study reports leveraging clear data visualization techniques
