Job Description:
Our team is building the next generation of data analysis and visualization tools for clinical trials and translational medicine. Our solutions will integrate clinical data with translational medicine information from next-generation sequencing, gene expression analysis, and other relevant data from PerkinElmer’s industry leading informatics applications and instruments. Our goal is to create an integrated data visualization and analysis platform that uniquely enables therapeutic development, personalized medicine, and the promise of “bench-to-bedside” science. Based in Waltham, MA, the successful candidate will be part of a development team chartered with building components of said solution, while working in close conjunction with other development teams and domain experts across the globe. Deep domain experience in Informatics, Genomics or Translational Medicine is required for this role.

Job Responsibilities:
* Ensure process compliance & assist in driving improvements, as needed
* Design/develop system, application and program code according to business and technical requirements
* Work as a member of the scrum team planning, estimating, and verifying user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Effectively communicate status, metrics, and issues on a regular basis.

Job Requirements:
*Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Life Sciences and 5+ years related experience in BioInformatics, Genomics, or Translational medicine
* Strong analytical, conceptual and technical skills with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
* Ability to capture and communicate architecture and designs to developers, management and other stakeholders * Experience with data visualization/analysis software (TIBCO Spotfire, Tableu, QlikView…)
* Cloud/AWS/VPC practical experience
* Thorough understanding of and experience with structured software development methodologies
* Experience with SCRUM
* Prior experience acting as an Agile ‘Product Owner’ in the Life Sciences arena
* Familiarity with analytics and/or Business Intelligence software. Experience with Tibco Spotfire is highly desired % of Travel Required : None
