Responsibilities: 1) Understand project related domain concepts, and identify and implement bioinformatics solutions 2) Deliver impactful bioinformatics support 3) Proactively engage in knowledge sharing and peer support to build expertise in the tools and techniques 4) Ability to interact with customer to figure out the details of tasks related to domain area Skills/Knowledge Requirements : Qualifications: BE/MSc or Equivalent in life sciences streams like molecular biology, biotechnology, medicine, bioinformatics etc. with exposure to informatics courses in life sciences Experience: 4 -7 years of experience in Life Sciences IT industry Good understanding of the sub domain of the project Required Skills : 1) Demonstrated experience in bioinformatics methods for analysis of NGS data and management of large data sets 2) Proficiency in programming languages such as shell script, R, Python or similar 3) Acquaintance with Linux operation system administration and experience with web based bioinformatics environments (i.e. Galaxy) is a plus. 4) Skilled in effective communication of complex genomic data to a non-expert 5) Interest to work in interdisciplinary teams 6) Works as an embedded domain resource in the teams of size 4-5 on Life Sciences projects 7) Experience in statistical analysis using packages such as R or MATLAB. 8) Has proven Bio-informatics Automation
