AnyGenes® is R&D driven Small Medium Enterprise (SME), it specializes in signaling pathways profiling, biomarkers discovery and validation. We have fast growing databases of over thousands of experimentally validated of potential biomarkers. They represent specific signaling pathways of different cellular processes (angiogenesis, apoptosis, drug resistance, drug metabolism...) and for severe disease (cancer, neurodegenerative disease, autoimmune diseases…). We use a broad range of “omics” technologies: qPCR arrays, transcriptomic “Affymetrix”, NGS “Illumina”…

To reinforce our data analysis team, we are seeking for a talented biocomputer scientist familiar with large scale data analysis (NGS), Big data and Cloud computing…


Essential Job Functions

Implementation and optimisation of existing software for sequence analysis (variant annotation, read alignment, variant calling…)
Design project with specific script workflow for sequence analysis and implement as automated analysis step
Scientific documentation on the innovative sequence data analysis approaches
Tests and evaluation of new computational algorithm and statistical methods for data analysis such machine learning approaches
Development of novel bioinformatics tools by using the appropriate programming language
Interacting and management of external bioiformatics personnel and communicate with researchers and clinicians to understand their specific need for data analysis
Good capacities in reports writing
Organisation, communication and management skills


Requirements

Experience with sequence analysis tools such GATK and Samtools
Experience by using genomic annotation databases (e.g. RefSeq, Ensembl, dbSNP, DGV, dbVAR, ClinVar, COSMIC, and ExAC).
Experience with sequence data analysis
Deep experience in developping softwares by using several langages and multiple platforms
Good knowledge of Java, PERL, PHYTON, C++, PHP…
Experience with big data, cloud computing and parallel computing
Familiarity with use statistical approaches for algorithm development
Knowledge of biology, genetics and sequencing technologies
Management, communication and written skills
  • Master’s degree, PhD or Post doctoral in bioinformatics
