Job Description:
A bioinformatics scientist will lead the development of NGS pipelines for the analysis of RNA and DNA sequencing data. A bioinformatics scientist will lead the development of NGS pipelines for the analysis of RNA and DNA sequencing data. He/She will collaborate with internal and external groups to analyze circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and cell-free circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) for tracking cancer genome evolution from blood samples as they relate to ongoing I/O clinical trials. Responsibilities:
- Develop bioinformatics computational pipelines for the analysis of NGS sequencing data (DNA, RNA, Copy number)
- Develop bioinformatics strategy and computational pipelines for the analysis of ctDNA and CTCs and their impact on ongoing clinical trials
- Perform statistical analysis of diverse datasets associated with Advaxis’ on-going immune-oncology programs
- Strong publication record.
- Fluent in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
- Fluent in R statistical programming language.
- Experience with the analysis of NGS data (single-cell sequencing, Exome-seq, RNA-seq, Nanostring) and synthesizing results from multi-omic sources into actionable information for diverse groups of scientists and clinicians.
- Expertise with designing and implementing NGS analysis pipelines in a Linux environment.
- Experience in cloud computing (AWS) and data management (DNANexus, Arvados).
- Understanding of data-driven statistical modeling and machine learning.
- Experience with publicly available genomic datasets from TCGA, ICGC, COSMIC, ENCODE, ExAc.
- Knowledge of cancer genomics and immuno-oncology strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced working environment.
