- Bioinformatics pipeline development - experience with common bioinformatics tools;
- Familiar with biological databases and data formats;
- Fluency in Python and its tool chain;
- Familiarity with PostresQL and ability to write efficient SQL statements;
- Version control system (GitHub);
- NGS analysis;
- Experience with automating data analysis and batch processing;
- Excellent technical communication skills, in both written and verbal English;
- Understanding of NGS and Illumina instruments;
- Excellent teamwork, time and project management skills;
- Self-starter, self-learner;
- Right to work in the UK;
- Understanding of Molecular Biology, specifically genome editing;
- Mastery of the R programming language and its tool chain;
- Demonstrated ability to develop R packages (published preferred);
- A capable statistician;
- Able to mentor or manage a development team
