Job Description:
A Bioinformatician position is available in the Genomic Programming of Beta Cells lab in the Section of Epigenomics and Disease within the Division for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism of Imperial College London at the Hammersmith campus

You will work closely with the laboratory scientists and bioinformaticians in the Beta Cells lab. The post holder will lead a bioinformatics component of multiple NGS based projects relating to single cell genomics, ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq and targeted sequencing methods. They will develop sustainable processing pipelines for NGS data, perform data analysis, take lead in data management and contribute to writing manuscripts for the publication.

Applicants with diverse educational backgrounds are welcome, but a solid computing background is essential. Knowledge of a programming language (e.g Python, C/C++, Perl, R, MatLab) is required as well as expertise in statistical analysis, with a string background in the analysis of biological networks. You will have an MSc, or equivalent, in Biological or Medical Sciences.
