Job Description:
EGS is seeking a Bioinformatician to provide the following: Provide bioinformatics services in support of complex, dynamic analytical tasks. Enhance collaborative bioinformatics operations across reference and response laboratories. Engage seamlessly with other multidisciplinary CDC staff and contract teams, including parallel bioinformatics support contracts and other subject matter expert groups. Develop modular, standards-based tools, pipelines, and software that supports DFWEB. Ensure adherence to federal information technology security compliance regulations. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Bioinformatics or Life Sciences with a strong history of bioinformatics work. Master's preferred. Previous/Current CDC experience preferable. Experience: Four years experience Special Requirements/Certifications: Proven experience in conducting epidemiologic investigations required. Spanish reading/speaking fluency preferred but not required. Physical Requirements: N/A
