Job Description:
We are looking for a Bioinformatician to join the Molecular Oncology Group led by Prof Richard Marais. The post holder will contribute to a Welcome Trust funded programme of work that seeks to improve stratification of and precision medicine approaches for human melanoma. The successful candidate will join a team developing patient-derived models, liquid biopsies and novel platforms for personalised medicine approaches. The post holder will be responsible for working with other team members to integrate genomics, proteomics and clinical data from preclinical and patient samples and aid in translating the results into clinical trials to benefit melanoma patients. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in bioinformatics or a related discipline and relevant experience in cancer will be an advantage.
