Job Description:
1. Must be detail oriented and demonstrate scientific leadership in sequence analysis, microarray analysis and experience with analysis of large genomic data sets including integration with data available from public sources. 2. Hands-on experience and involvement so competency is maintained in processing and analyzing genomic, expression and other array data. 3. Hands-on experience and competency is maintained with commercial and open-source bioinformatics and genomics analysis software 4. Must maintain excellent scientific communication, teamwork and customer relationship skills 5. Collaborate with and take direction from the medical director of the area Master’s degree required PhD or MD preferred from an accredited college/university in bioinformatics, biostatics or a related field. A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in bioinformatics is required. Experience as a collaborating statistician on a variety of study designs. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation). Experience in Randomized clinical trial preferred. Proficiency in Unix (linux), scripting, and programming are very desirable such as knowledge of at least one programming language (C++, Perl, html, etc.)
