Seeking a Bioinformatics Associate to conducts extensive analysis and report to management on key findings of market research initiatives conducted for major biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare organizations. This position offers the opportunity to work in the world’s largest field testing research pipeline, delivering smarter systems and processes to deliver novel products to market. Bioinformatics Associate Responsibilities:
- This role will support Pipeline Enablement centralized processing applications and databases (Velocity Capacity Request, Plot Allocations, FTS set creation, Yield Trial Coordination Tool. The role will directly support the Varietal Planners with on time delivery of sets and data for NAFTO trial execution.
- Data-driven logistics is foundational in driving this site’s pipeline to deliver products from early discovery phase through launch.
- Candidates with a strong background in data handling/processing and demonstrated ability to implement workflow solutions are highly desired for this position.
- Support to the varietal breeders and the North America Testing group.
- Utilize current processes and assist in identifying areas for further automation - working with our logistics partners to deliver crop pipelines.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Understanding of database systems and management of large data sets
- Experience with visualization tools (Spotfire) to generate reports and view data; accessing and working with databases (Composite, APIs,SQL)
- Previous experience setting up research trials
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office applications (esp. Excel), Share Point, web navigation/applications
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
