Job Description:
Focus on developing and maintaining robust software tools to improve the speed, accuracy, and automation of our analysis and annotation pipelines
Evaluate the performance of third-party tools we may wish to incorporate into our pipeline
Develop novel data analysis and data-mining methods to optimize the performance and accuracy of our platform
Work closely with our internal customers to help define product requirements, spec technical requirements, develop project plans and generate test cases Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D., but post-doctoral experience is not required
Good communication skills are a must in this fast-paced and dynamic environment
You must have familiarity with commonly used aligners, variant callers and other bioinformatics tools
Python expertise
Comfort with shell scripting
Experience with version control software, such as git
Bonus, but not required skills: C++ and Matlab Additional Information
