The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the position of Bioinformatics, Assistant Professor, Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine [18515] ROLE of the POSITION : The Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine (NIPM) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The institute is building excellence in personalized medicine to improve health services and clinical outcomes. We seek team-oriented candidates with research interests, expertise, and accomplishments in bioinformatics, statistical genetics, epigenetics, pharmacogenomics, human disease studies, genomics, or personalized medicine. The candidates for this position are expected to establish a research program in the discovery of disease etiology and pathways using genetic, genomic, and NGS data. Although this is a research focused position, some teaching is expected. QUALIFICATIONS This position requires an MD, PhD or equivalent degree from a regionally accredited college or university, a track record of publication, the ability to support research through external funding, and experience in research. SALARY RANGE Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
