Job Description:
This person will be working in Bioinformatics within VI Next in Tarrytown, NY. The student will work on cutting-edge computational biology research problems in the immuno-oncology space. We are looking for a student who likes playing with multi-omics biological data (next generation sequencing data, mass-spectrometry data, etc.). The student will be involved in biological data analysis as well as data visualization. This position will provide a terrific opportunity to learn and apply skills in a variety of areas of computational biology to solve complex research problems.

• Must be a Master's student

• Must be pursuing a degree in Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics, Bioengineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related

• Experience with R, Shiny, Python, Excel, NGS (rnaseq and exomeseq) Data Analysis, Immunoinformatics, Machine Learning

• Computing experience in Unix/Linux environment, Familiary with public biological databses, Basic knowledge of immunology is a big plus

Co-op Program Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Master's degree

• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• A free shuttle is offered from the North White Plains or Tarrytown train stations to the Tarrytown campus
