Leading Biomedical Service Provider is offering this exciting career opportunity within their innovative and dynamic environment. As the Bioinformatics Developer you will be responsible for both data analysis and implementation of storage systems according to available internal and external benchmark data, international best practice guidelines and applicable ISO standards. In addition, you will contribute to the implementation and use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for high-throughput sample genotyping. You will be responsible for providing data interpretation reports and assist with the final reporting on both scientific and diagnostic service projects. This will involve working independently as well as in collaboration with laboratory scientists, laboratory technicians and a bioinformatics team supporting the various applications offered by the Genomics platforms. Further Responsibilities Include:
- Understanding laboratory workflows and experimental processes for integration with data analysis pipelines
- Analysis of genetic variant data and reporting pipeline development, incorporating both open source and proprietary software solutions
- Documentation of bioinformatics workflows and processes in accordance with ISO guidelines
- Development of standards and procedures for data reporting, data storage and data transfers
- Data management and preparation of relevant documentation required for audits
- MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or a related field
- 2-5 years' experience within bioinformatics environment
- A background in Molecular Biology, Genetics or Genomics is considered an advantage
- Ability to analyse and interpret genetic variant data generated for large sample numbers and genome-wide association studies
- Work experience and knowledge of various statistical programs will be a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Requeriments :
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in computational biology
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
