Our Healthcare client is looking for a mid-level Python or Java developer to join the clinical bioinformatics research team that supports the production informatics needs of Clinical and Service labs. You'll be working closely with a team of genomic medicine scientists to design and build effective instrument-to-interpretation pipelines for next-generation sequencing workflows, optimizing outcomes for our genomic medicine initiatives. - Assist in the development, validation and deployment of NGS (Next-generation sequencing) data analysis pipelines using work with biologists, bioinformatics scientists, and clinical staff to create custom applications to identify, extract and display relevant information
- Leverage software development and design best practices to create and maintain efficient data analysis and workflow solutions
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 2-5 years' Software development experience in Python or Java Experience in a Linux/ Unix environment
- Familiarity with web application development
- Any exposure to the Django development framework is highly preferred
- Team Player with solid communication skills
