Job Description:
Key Role
Work on applied research and development projects in the field of genetics. Develop software supporting whole genome sequence analysis and pipeline development. Perform in a Biological Personnel Reliability Program. Work with data from the 454 and Illumina instruments for sequence generation. Perform computational analysis with the appropriate statistical rigor. This position is located in Aberdeen, MD.
Basic Qualifications
•Experience with statistics
•Experience in working with datastreams from 454 and Illumina sequencers
•Secret clearance
•MS degree and 7 years of experience with software development or genomics and 3 years of experience in bioinformatics with the development of software supporting whole genome sequence analysis and pipeline development
Additional Qualifications
•MS degree in Software Engineering or Bioinformatics
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
