We have an opening for a skilled, experienced, and self-motivated developer who has a demonstrated knowledge and interest in genetics and bioinformatics. This individual will design and implement data analysis pipelines, databases, analysis tools, and web user interfaces for large-scale genetic data sets. The successful candidate will join a growing team that is building robust infrastructure, sophisticated algorithms and analysis capabilities. We use agile design and implementation practices coupled with the careful validation and documentation required in a clinical environment. We aim to use the right tool for any job: team members are proficient in Python (including numpy, scipy, pandas, IPython/Jupyter, and Django), R, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Bioinformatics tools used include bwa, Picard, and GATK and a growing number of internally developed utilities. Requirements:

- Ideal candidates will have extensive software development experience and an appetite to learn about genomics
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, C/C++, etc.
- Interest in working closely with our molecular biology lab is a must
- Experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis a plus
- Experience in data modeling, machine learning or statistical analysis a plus
