Job Description:
The research laboratory of Dr. Shaun Mahony, in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, seeks undergraduate student applicants for a 2018 Summer semester bioinformatics programmer position. Duties will include assisting in the development of bioinformatics applications for analyzing and visualizing large collections of genomic datasets. This part-time position is for up to 40 hours a week for 12 weeks. Expertise in Java programming and/or developing web applications is required. Experience with Linux preferred. The Penn State Student Radio Alumni Interest Group (SRAIG) exists to promote a continuing relationship between students and alumni of student radio by providing opportunities for alumni nationwide to give time, money and resources to ensure the continued privilege of independently student operated radio at Penn State.

The SRAIG’s mission is tri-fold: to stimulate the continued interest in the student radio experience at Penn State among alumni, to provide a means whereby alumni and friends of student radio may join together for personal and professional enrichment and to strategically support and advocate for student operated radio throughout the Penn State family.
