Job Description:
The Bioinformatics Scientist is responsible for conducting bioinformatics data analysis under the direction of a supervisor. The Bioinformatics Scientist also utilizes commercial and public data sets, evaluates existing data analysis tools and techniques, develops and implements data analysis workflows, and analyzes data as required by researchers. In addition, the Bioinformatics Scientist develops analysis tools and applications and documents preparation as required (figures, text for publication, documentation, or grant preparation). The ideal Bioinformatics Scientist candidate will have an MD or PhD and 5 years of bioinformatics experience in a medical research setting. Qualifications:
