RBW have partnered with a patient-focused biotechnology to find bioinformaticians at a junior, principal, and team lead level. We are looking for individuals to join our cross-functional team to develop and apply cutting-edge approaches to processing and interpreting human genome sequence data for consumer products. You will work closely with lab operations, engineering, applied genomics, product, and design, to create our world-class genomics platform. Tasks and responsibilities:
- Deliver the highest quality genetic data to customers
- Design, implement, and test novel next-generation sequencing analysis methods
- Develop of best-practices for quality assessment, control, and benchmarking of sequencing assays and analysis methods
- Support laboratory R&D efforts in a large-scale clinical, CLIA or CAP production environment
- Wrangle large datasets and generating insightful reports
- PhD or MS and equivalent experience in Genetics, Biology, or Bioinformatics, or related field
- Significant experience in hands-on analysis of next-generation sequencing data, particularly WES or WGS
- Quantitative training with basic understanding of probability and statistics
- Ability to be self-driven and work well together in a cross-functional and interdisciplinary team
- Proficiency in Unix environments
- Experience with high performance computing environments and/or cloud-based environments
- Programming experience using statistical tools such as R and scripting languages such as Python or Perl
