The primary focus will be on generation and interpretation of high-throughput genomic and other molecular data that increase our understanding of, for example:
- The degree and nature of immune infiltration in the tumor microenvironment;
- Mechanisms by which tumors avoid immune surveillance;
- The impact of mutation or gene expression dysregulation on tumor neo-antigen presentation; and
- Local or circulating biomarkers which predict response to immunomodulatory drugs or therapies.
- PhD in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational biology or similar, with a strong publication record. Alternately, a PhD in molecular biology, immunology, etc. combined with a very strong record of high-throughput data analysis, supported by publication in this area.
- A solid understanding of the relevant concepts in cancer biology and genetics, or in immunology. Enthusiasm for learning more.
- Broad experience with data generated by one or more high-throughput molecular assays: microarrays, next-generation sequencing, multiplexed qPCR, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry proteomics, etc.
- An understanding of the statistical principles behind current best practices in high-throughput molecular data analysis.
- Strong experience in the use of a high-level programming language such as R, MATLAB, Python or Perl for complex data analysis.
