Your tasks and responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this role, Bioinformatics Scientist II, are to:
- Contribute to the strategy for development and leveraging of the Computational Life Sciences cross-functional platform from data integration & management to analysis platform design for our Bayer Cropscience activities;
- Work with Computational Life Sciences (CLS) teams in US & EU to optimize and enhance CLS strategy;
- Design process to strengthen cross-functional projects & to capture new business requirements;
- Look for opportunities to collaborate with key players both internal and external;
- Participate in external scientific cooperation(s) on specific fields;
- Ensure the compliance with all existing safety standards in the area of responsibility taking into account laws, regulations and directives and evaluate potential risks of the research activities;
- Report progress in relation to critical milestones to X-Functional data science group lead and end-users.
- Ph.D. with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, M.S. with a minimum of five (5) years, or a B.S. with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Computational Biology or a related field;
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal, organizational, technical, leadership and communication skills and an ability to work in cross-functional team settings in a highly innovating research environment;
- Proficient in English.
- Successful experience with inomics data management & analysis;
- Experience with Project manager, stakeholder management and networking across Research and Development (R&D).
